Surgery

Drs. Amy Jackson and Peter Sponagle perform routine surgeries including spays, neuters and lump removals. More complicated surgeries, such as patellar luxation, fracture repair, complicated surgeries of the urogenital tract and large tumor removal, are performed by our Board certified surgeon, Dr. Sara Ayres. Please see Referral Surgery.

All patients should be fasted prior to surgery. That means no food after 10 pm the night before surgery, but they may have water. We will call you the day before surgery to review the fasting instructions. In most cases, your pet will be admitted between 8 and 9 am and will be ready to go home later that afternoon.
